Goddammit Rafflecopter!

Once upon a time, there was a really simple, easy to use, and attractive Givaway app on Facebook. Unfortunatley that app no longer exists and everyone in the kingdom was forced to use Rafflecopter. A confusing app that makes Facebook freak out when people try to enter so that Princess Che could not give away her art even when she tried.

So she tried to paste in the HTML given by the Rafflecopter website. It looks like this:

<a id=”rc-e230f31″ class=”rafl” href=”http://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/e230f31/&#8221; rel=”nofollow”>a Rafflecopter giveaway</a>
<script src=”//widget.rafflecopter.com/load.js”></script>

And it still doesn’t work! Nothing works. Rafflecopter is FOR SHIT.

Che, I can’t embed a Rafflecopter on my WordPress blog so, when an author wants to offer one, I have to just show a link as you tried to do. I’ve learned that you only want to cut & paste the portion that starts with http and ends with a set of numbers and then /. In your case, it would be http://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/e230f31/ Try doing it that way.

I hate Rafflecopter but for different reasons 😉

I will watch out for this. I know nothing about it, but at least I know now to be suspicious if I see it.

Yeah, they charge exorbitant fees for a product that doesn’t work the way they advertise it.

There is another word for that: Fraud.
